Scott Powell is a business affairs and production generalist, from Boston, Massachusetts specializing in motion picture, commercial, digital and branded content. Scott attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating with a B.F.A in Film and Television and a minor in Advertising. Bringing a multi-faceted set of skills to all his projects, Scott has gained experience in all forms of media and branded content. Throughout his career, he has worked on more than thirty feature length theatrical productions, countless major advertising campaigns, with several airing during the Super Bowl, one major network TV show, Sony Pictures WGN Television show, “Underground”, Season 2, and two independent documentaries. Early in his career, In 2015, Scott worked closely with Doug Pray and Patrick O’Brien in the editorial department on the acclaimed documentary, Transfatty Lives, which went on to win the audience awards at Tribeca Film Festival, The Milano Film Festival, and was long-listed for the 2015 Academy Awards. Transfatty Lives is now available on streaming platforms worldwide. Scott previously held production assistant and or runner positions at productions companies such as Whitehouse Post, and numarous feature films. Scott has additionally produced for Sony Music and Sony Music Sweden, garnering an organic view count of 2+ million for Ziggy and Carola.

After spending time as a runner and production assistant, Scott found his way into into a professional career in film, entertainment, and advertising. Scott previously held the position Senior Manager, Production Business & Legal Affairs with independent production and financing company ADME Studios where he has successfully implemented processes and best practices in global production, independent financing, tax incentive management, business affairs, guild/union relations, residuals processing, debt-mezzanine transactions, and domestic/international distribution. Scott’s most notable project with ADME was action-thriller AMBUSH - Starring Aaron Eckhart, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Conner Paola, which shot in Bogota, Colombia and Los Angeles in late 2022. ADME Studios (now Dark Mark Productions) is an LA-based independent production and financing company ADME Studios developing multiple upcoming SVOD focused projects in both narrative feature and documentary.

After ADME, Scott joined the business affairs team at Havas Creative Network (formerly Annex) for global Coca-Cola accounts, supporting Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Fanta, Vitamin Water, Aha, Sprite, Powerade, and Cracker Barrel, with production, legal, and financial matters across agency business units. Subsequently, Scott joined the business affairs and talent management team at (360i & Firstborn), now (Dentsu Creative, Americas), where he worked on accounts such as Kroger, 7 Eleven, Boston Beer Company(Sam Adams, Twisted Tea, Truly), New Orleans Tourism, Reymour & Flanagan, Mondelez International, Amplify Brands, NBCU, Visit Asheville, GSK,Purell, Burger King, Qurate, Adidas, Peloton. After leaving Dentsu, Scott joined influencer start-up agency Whalar (NYC and London) (specailizing in influencer management and brand compaigns) as an Associate Director, where he worked on influencer campaigns for clients such as, acebook (Meta), Amazon Hub, Snap, Twitter, TikTok, Netflix, MAC, Spotify, Disney, Johnson & Johnson, Google, AT&T/Direct TV, MAC Cosmetics, P&G, LVMH, Estée Lauder, eBay, Disney+, Genesis, Biohaven/Nurtec ODT.

Scott currently works for The Martin Agency, the AdAge Agency of the Year 2023, and AdAgeA-List Agency in 2024, as an Associate Director III, Business Affairs on clients such as; UPS, The UPS Store, Royal Caribbean, Google For Creators, Banco Santander, LegalShield, Buffalo Wild Wings, NUTRL, Busch Light, Bud Light, Bud Light Seltzer, Cutwater, Scott's Miracle Gro, Papa John's, Sanofi, Olipop, Axe-Unilever, and more. His most notable contributions while at The Martin Agency were on the Busch Light 2022 Super Bowl Spot with Sarah McLachlan, the Bud Light Easy to Sunday series with Peyton Manning, Travis Kelcie, and Dak Prescott, and additionally the Google Chrome x McLaren Racing “Pit Stop” spot starring Maluma and Lando Norris, featuring a custom reggaeton track from Maluma and Sony Music LATAM.

Outside of his advertising career, Scott co-founded 507 Collective with his colleagues from SCAD, a boutique production collective emphasizing independent film, fine arts, creative ventures, and entertainment. The collective has since earned production company credits on more than thirty projects across film, entertainment, and fine arts. Some notable projects produced by the collective are Stowaways starring Frank Grillo and Ruby Rose, Sam & Kate starring Dustin Hoffman, and Blood For Dust starring Kit Harrington and Scoot McNariy.

In his free time, Scott enjoys traveling, watching movies, reading, and spending time outdoors e.g., hiking, skiing, kayaking, and is a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Additionally, Scott enjoys learning languages and has attained a B2 level proficiency in Spanish (LATAM) and is currently learning Portuguese (Europe) B1.
